Harriett Matilda Morris born July 9 1868 near Bruceville Indiana died June 11 1910 at home aged 41 11 2 united in marriage to Daniel Bowen Feb 21 1894 Roscoe and Hester survive with the other child deceased She joined Bethlehem Bethlehem Church Carlisle charge at age 11 and remained faithful For years she suffered heart trouble dropsy and paralysis Still she bore illness quietly and was beloved by family neighbors and friends Funeral at Indian Prairie Baptist Church conducted by Rev Wm E Russell interment Indian Prairie cemetery.
Geo W Mills of Syracuse Kosciusko county was named state commissioner of fisheries and game by Governor Marshall. The governor and Mills have a quarter century acquaintance and Mills is seen as ideal for the post due to his understanding of the sportsman and his work with lake region protective groups. Alvin Padgett of Washington succeeds T B Orr as trustee of the Indiana Reformatory. both Orr and Padgett are Democrats.
R. W. Hoke, a well known farmer and auto enthusiast from south of town, was in Vincennes on Monday.
