Last week’s offer of 2000 votes per new two year subscription boosted totals for top candidates, including Jessie Snapp 88720 Glenn Howard 38640 Blanch Abrams 33900 Migie Jenkins 32130 Olive Bishop 18586 Mabel Meng 16350.

Jim McConnell sold the E. and T. H. grounds lumber yards near the depot to the Neola Elevator Company of Chicago. McConnell retains ownership of grain elevator and creamery interests. New owners plan to expand the established lumber business. Announcement appears in this issue.
Wm. E. Aydelotte of Sullivan and Mrs. Frank Cox with her son Ned were in town on business Monday. Mrs. Chas. Davis and her party spent the day in Terre Haute, visiting and touring local spots.
