Longtime Carlisle farmer Vincent Corbin Dies After Runaway Injury
Vincent Corbin died at 4:40 a.m. on Friday July 24 from sepsis after a Tuesday arm injury in a runaway accident near Sullivan. A Civil War veteran and prominent Haddon township resident, he served in Co K, 80th Indiana, later held G A R roles, and was married to Catherine Sproatt with four children born, three of whom died in infancy. burial followed in Indian Prairie cemetery.
