The Maylé Grove Golf Club has accepted an invitation from Sullivan County players to meet the Bullivan Club in a golf match. The Bullivan Club course is a new nine hole layout under construction at the part.
An arson attempt in the basement of the Harry D. White Mill and Elevator near the C and B E I depot was thwarted when night watchman Tony McKnight encountered an intruder. Seventeen shots were fired as the invader fled. no major damage occurred and authorities pursued potential suspects.
