William Leak Dies Aged Had don Township Resident
William Leak of Had don township near Bethlehem died Friday after a period of ill health. Funeral services were held at his home and at Bruceville, officiated by Rev. J. C. Mullins, with interment in Bruceville cemetery. Born March 8 1838 in Warren County Ohio he died June 27 1918 at 75 years. He married Martha A Townsley in 1879 and leaves five children, a brother and a sister plus many relatives. He lived a life devoted to doing good though not aligned with church or lodge.

Roy Buntin twenty one year old drowned Sunday afternoon while swimming with a crowd of boys in the Wabash near Oak town. Men worked to recover the body as Mrs. Eliza Buntin, widow and mother, mourns at Oak town.

Wheaton Miss Lottie Wheaton of Paxton and Andrew J. Rich formerly a Hamilton township constable were married Tuesday morning at ten at the M E parsonage in Sullivan. The couple left for Robinson Illinois to set up housekeeping at 609 Lincoln street. Rich is janitor of the South school building in Robinson.

A Tuesday afternoon wind storm struck Carlisle around 2 30 PM causing minor damage. The gusty blast shattered glass and blew out a heavy front door at the R Akin establishment, but overall damage appeared minimal based on available reports.

Judge Dissolves Temporary Injunction in Carlisle School Case
Judge William H. Bridwell dissolved the temporary restraining order in Rush Trimble v. the School Town of Carlisle. The court ruled the law favored the school trustees and that the plaintiff takes nothing with defendants to recover costs. A second bid on the joint high school was let to C B Willis & Sons for 31700 with bonds to be sold through Fletcher American National Bank of Indianapolis pending lawyer instructions.
