Livestock associations add 3074 in special prizes. Total awards reach 26352 dollars.
J W Shake of this place runs a novel Belgian hare business begun in March with about 125 animals in pens of netting. Hares fetch about $4.50 a dozen in Chicago markets as tender meat prized by many. Shake plans larger shipments next year to city markets.
