Carlisle insurer James Latshaw ends his life
James B Latshaw 64 a Carlisle insurer and prominent citizen died by drowning in Bert Lisman pond on Harrison street Wednesday night. He left a suicide note saying his nervous system was broken and asked forgiveness. The body was recovered by neighbors and sent to Risinger morgue as the coroner prepared an inquest.

Injured In Auto Spill Near Vincennes
Sunday night Rush Ridgway and Carl Steffy were injured when the bed of a Ford truck tilted on old State Road near Vincennes. Ridgway suffered head wounds and bruises while Steffy had minor injuries after falling from the vehicle and becoming entangled in a blanket. They were en route with Roy Duffer and Fred Ogle.

Bert Hubble, prominent citizen and farmer of Gill township, died at his home near Merom early Tuesday after more than a year of illness. He underwent an operation at Sullivan County Hospital about a year ago and had been in poor health since. He was 61 years old.
