Days Win Local Option in Haddon Township Vote
Voters in Haddon Township favored the dry option Tuesday amid snow and difficult roads. The dry majority totaled 234 votes, with Precincts reporting Dry tallies of 115 91 144 and 114 against Wet totals of 50 65 32 and 83. Polling places were Paxton for Precinct 1 and Carlisle for Precincts 2 3 and 4.

William F. Sproatt a school wagon driver from Haddon township was arrested last week in Sullivan on assault and battery charges from George Loomis a high school student who rides the wagon Loomis lives with Frank B Ridgway south of town Sproatt previously pressed charges against Loomis and two others for unlawfully riding on the wagon the case was dismissed in Squire Cowles court and refiled in Gruit court Loomis prompted the new charge the hearing is set in Squire Calverts court Sullivan on Saturday January 31

Bank Buys Drug Store In Public Auction
The Currier Drug Company store, once closed by Evansville mortgagees Chas. Leich & Company and formerly owned by John S. Shepherd, sold Saturday afternoon at public auction to First National Bank. The stock brought 4480 dollars with three bidders. Bank plans to sell stock but will keep the store open under W. J. Curtner.
