Death of Carlisle janitor Harvey Wilkinson mourned
Harvey Wilkinson, longtime janitor of Carlisle High School and the Carlisle Christian church, died Tuesday night from a skull fracture after an engine room accident Friday. He was 52, survived by wife Della, son Owen, daughters Pearl and Lucile, and other relatives. Funeral services were held Monday in Carlisle with Masons and school staff in attendance. interment followed in Allendale Illinois.

Brown Family Acquires Carlisle Office Building
James R. Brown of Sullivan bought the Carlisle office building on Alexander Street formerly occupied by Or. Finch from Carlisle Investment Company. The property will house Dr. John Stanley Brown, a Cincinnati Medical College graduate, who has been hospital work in the East and will begin practice in Carlisle around August 1 after summer duties.
