Signature Forged Suit Ends with Charles J Jerauld Liability
In Sullivan circuit court a suit by Wm B Shepherd against Charles J Jerauld and Hannah F Jerauld to collect a $200 note dated January 12 1904 with four months to pay was heard. Mrs Jerauld swore she did not sign the note and was released from liability. The court awarded plaintiff judgment against Charles G Jerauld for $200 principal $16 interest and $250 attorney fees. Attorneys were Arthur D Cutler for the plaintiff and Bays Bays and James B Speake for the defendants. Shepherd also filed an affidavit charging Cheries G Jer.
