Fire damages C. B. Willis residence attic on Ledgerwood Street
Soot and heat from the attic fire at the C. B. Willis property near the M. E. Church on Ledgerwood Street caused a blaze that spread to a large roof hole. J. Frank Sproatt and family and Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Lemon occupied the residence. firefighters arrived with the big truck and chemical equipment and halted the blaze. Insurance covers the damages.
