The Circle girls plan a box and pie supper at Li evening in Jan. Proceeds likely support community events. Local notice emphasizes plans for a social gathering with desserts and boxed meals.

Hoke Willis son of Mr. and Mrs. French Willis of this city won first prize at the National Amateur Wireless Convention in St. Louis for fast accurate receiving among thirty contestants. He earned a transformer for a sending outfit and is famed for his large receiving station capable of picking up messages up to 8000 miles away and even hearing ship music. His cousin George Hoke, Purdue student, accompanied him.
The Carlisle Odd Fellows Cemetery Association held a meeting last Thursday night and elected Nolan C. Hoover as President and Supt for 1921. D W Helms was named Vice President, E W Rogers Secretary, Chas A Schu Treasurer, and Nolan C Hoover also designated Supt. Wm Tinsley was hired as caretaker again after a year of excellent service. The annual assessment on sold burial lots remains $2.60 for 1921.
At the stockholders meeting of the First National Bank the old directors were re elected and at the subsequent directors meeting the old officers were re elected for another year. Directors include Dr W A Lisman J Wesley Smith Wesley Brochs Wm A Trimble Homer Trimble W L Nash and Salathiel Boone. Officers are W A Lisman president Salathiel Boone vice president Homer Trimble cashier Roy Trimble assistant cashier.
Mesdawes L I Kixmiller C L Whalen Qzsro Latehaw and Freak Warner appear in a legal notice in Sulli court. The report notes their names in a defiant lineup amid ongoing proceedings and a scheduled hearing date.
After a bank robbery, a town meeting in Griffin hardware led to Elmer Arnett being hired as police officer and night watchman. He will work 6 pm to 6 am as bids ranged from 100 to 125 dollars monthly. bond set at 200 dollars with C. L. Whalen and Roy Trimble as sureties. He began Tuesday night.
Town Trustees at Carlisle meet with local businessmen urging a night watchman for the business district. After discussion the group will hold another meeting before a decision. Other business includes claims approved for police services street work attorney fees and building material with several entries for Board meetings secretary expenses and street expenses.
