Life of Carlisle Pioneer Sarah Akin Ends in 1903
Sarah R Akin longtime Carlisle resident died January 2 1903 at age 85 after a long illness. She came to Carlisle in 1837 with husband Ransom W Akin and raised six children. Funeral held at the Methodist church with memoir read, buried beside her husband in the family lot.
