Seed Time and Harvest Sermon and Decorations at Bethlehem

At Bethlehem church last Sunday the pastor preached Seed Time and Harvest with autumn decor. Members displayed corn, vegetables, potatoes, gourds and baskets including a pumpkin and rag gourds to beautify the service. Robert Snapp and his mother Mrs Alvira Snapp of Indianapolis attended the funeral of C L Risinger. Mrs Snapp is Mrs Risinger’s sister in law.

Funeral service for C L Risinger in Carlisle

C L Risinger died circa 11 oclock Thursday night November 23 at his Carlisle home after four weeks with typhoid fever. Funeral held Saturday February 11 at the Methodist church in Carlisle with Rev Daniel Ryan officiating. Internment in L O O F cemetery. He was born September 20 1865 in Knox county and married Lillie E Deiss November 12 1889. Survived by wife two children and his mother two brothers and two sisters.

A large crowd attended the box supper at Woodmen's Hall Saturday night in Carlisle Camp No 3332 M W of A. About 45 boxes were sold and the proceeds totaled 13.70 dollars. Everyone enjoyed the event as usual.

Carlisle high school football team lost 30 to 0 at Sullivan Saturday afternoon. The Carlisle eleven failed to score a touchdown and were outplayed by Sullivan.
