A large Sullivan and nearby counties gathering at BE. F. Deiss’s grove drew three to four thousand for a day of rides, speeches, and sports. Carlisle and Sullivan baseball contest ended 8 to 7 after ten innings with Sullivan taking the $25 prize. R. W. Hoke won the shooting medal with 12 of 15.
