Carlisle Town Board Rejects Cooper Addition Plot Plan
In a special session at the Sproatt and Walker harness shop the Carlisle town board rejected John W. Cooper's proposal to add 12 plotted lots along Vincennes street to the town. The plan, with lots 1 through 12 and misaligned corners at Singer and West streets, failed 2 to 1 due to no street provisions. Cooper indicated the lots would be sold by meets and bounds within the current corporate limits.
