World Tour a Success at Carlisle Church Event
The M. E. Guild presented a four stop travel evening titled Trip Around the World raising funds with 200 tickets at 25 cents. Passengers toured Japan Africa Italy and the White House via Union Station with staged scenes at each home and refreshments served. net proceeds totaled 46 dollars.

Boy Loses Arm in Mill Grinder Accident
Eight year old Frank Monroe son of John Monroe of Paxton was helping grind corn when his hand was caught in a feed grinder. Doctors Pirtle and Walters amputated the right hand just above the wrist. The boy is reported to be recovering.
