Detectives linked to anti saloon league target county gambling
Two Chicago detectives sent by the Anti-Saloon League to clean up Sullivan County aided in arrests in Shelburn Carlisle and nearby towns. They filed affidavits against Steve Dooley John Drake and Hugh N Hicks after sitting in on a poker game and later helped arrest seven Shelburn residents on gambling charges and two Grays on liquor charges. The six men and two women face preliminary hearings set before Justice Kirkham next week.
