Tragic Death of Mabel Mavity in Bedford
Mabel, 3, daughter of S. Mavity and wife, died Thursday April 4 from spinal meningitis after a brief illness. Born August 5, 1897, she was laid to rest Friday in Bedford, Indiana, the former home of Mr and Mrs Bey. The funeral arrangements followed.

Easter Sunday Services At Local Methodist Church
Special Easter services were held Sunday morning at the Methodist church. The hall showed a floral look from hats and gowns as children performed recitations songs and drills. The choir provided special Easter music. Rev Hixson led afternoon services at Paxton and Bethlehem in the evening.
