Piano Class Delights with Beethoven Studies at Latshaw Home
Miss Hattie Latshaw led a piano class at Lois Rogers home on Friday March 31. Students Mary Ridgway Mary Kim Miller and Lois Rogers presented sketches on Ludwig van Beethoven before Latshaw performed Beethoven Sonatas. An Bach life and works exam followed from prior sessions. The group showed notable progress in piano solos duets and six band numbers.

John Plummer Takes Own Life in Jeffer Son Township Farm
John Plummer 70 a well known farmer of Jefferson township died by hanging in his barn loft six miles east of Carlisle. He was found by his wife after she returned from Paxton with illness. Survived by wife son Oliver and daughter Mrs Reese Kennedy. Funeral at Bethany church with interment in Bethany cemetery.
