Duck hunting opens October 1 across Idaho with goose season beginning October 8. Most areas run through January 1 1978. some counties close January 1. Bag limits include seven ducks and three geese daily with six in possession. Ross geese single allowed. A Magic Valley goose closure borders I 80 Snake River, Twin Falls to Delco, and SH 30 marks the south edge.

Hearing on State Water Plan Set for Preston
An Idaho State Water Plan hearing is scheduled for Tuesday Sept 13 at the Robinson Fair Building Preston. Elk Tag Sales End Sept 27 in Idaho
The Department of Fish and Game warns elk tags will not be sold after midnight September 27 across Idaho. Some regions end deer tag sales the same date, while counties south of Idaho County extend to October 11. Three exceptions apply for youths turning 12 after the cutoff, new residents after the cutoff, and servicemen on leave arriving after the cutoff.
