I defend Ezra Taft Benson and the John Birch Society as patriotic and effective against communism. The speech records by Representative Harding are criticized as smear tactics that undermine unity and distract from facing real threats. The writer urges loyalty to church and country, urging readers to see the enemies of freedom as those who distort truth.
