Miss Caribou Pageant Called Off in Soda Springs

The Lions Clubs of Soda Springs Grace and Bancroft announced the 1973 Miss Caribou Pageant is cancelled for lack of interest. Chairman Lloyd Painter said two of seven entrants withdrew leaving five contestants making the event infeasible. The group thanks the entrants and laments the decision.

Youngster Drowns While Swimming at Lava Hot Springs

Four year old Stacey Jacaway drowned while swimming with family at Lava Hot Springs on Tuesday. She was rushed to Pocatello Hospital and pronounced dead on arrival. Parents are Mr and Mrs Don Jacaway of Soda Springs. He is service manager for Shuler Bros.
