Bancroft News Recaps Family Travels and Local Events
Bancroft residents record a flurry of travels and family occasions. Mr and Mrs Bob Mickelson celebrated their first wedding anniversary in Salt Lake City with a trip. Joel Simons and children extended visits in Salt Lake City and Bountiful, and in Provo attended BYU graduation exercises. A granddaughter graduation in Grace was attended, with kin visiting in Afton, Wy. Other trips include World’s Fair return by the Whitworth family via Portland and Glacier Park plans. Primary Preparation meeting in Bancroft with Joyce Argyle Conneting led by Frances Yost.

Accidents Reported On State Highways 34 And 30
Two separate traffic incidents are recorded. A 1981 Chevrolet sedan driven by Larry G. Allen left the road near Grace, struck a telephone pole, damaged 132 feet of fence, and sustained $700 in front and left-side damage. Deputy Herbert G. Walters investigated. A 1959 Ford sedan driven by Stanley H. Hull rear-ended another car, went into a borrow pit on Highway 30 near Bancroft, causing about $125 in damage. investigation by Deputy Walters.
