The Soda Springs School District No. 350 sets the annual trustee election for Tuesday May 16 1972 from 1 00 PM to 7 00 PM. Trustees are to be elected.
An organized PTA gathering is planned for Bancroft High School on Thursday. The discussion will cover local school matters and a review of community priorities.
Soda Springs Cardettes took first in B class and won overall at the Big Sky Drill Team Meet in Butte with 35 dancers and six drummers. Judge scores reached 95.4 to 99 percent, earning top honors ahead of Teton High and Rigby High while Butte High finished as runner up.
Nomination period ends Friday April 21 for the Zone Three trustee election. Only residents of the zone, U.S. citizens 18 or older, who have lived in Idaho six months and in the district and zone for more than 300 days may vote. Boundary questions go to Clerk Robert V. Redford.
Thatcher Elementary School will host its final PTA Meeting on Wednesday May 10 at 8 00 p m The event will showcase students work across six grades with displays in art social studies arithmetic science reaching and language arts A program of choral music and dancing will precede the PTA elections inviting parents and interested citizens to attend.
Perry notes longtime service on the Air Pollution Control Commission since 1987. Director Eiguren cites good sense and fairness as assets while praising progress in Idaho's pollution controls and recent installation of millions in equipment statewide. The commission transfers July 1 to the new Department of Environmental Protection and Health with rules and standards carrying over.
Hooper Elementary School presents Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs in the High School gymnasium on May 10 11 and 12. Matinee May 10 at 1 30 pm for preschoolers and District 150 students. Evening show May 11 at 8 pm for adults. Matinee May 12 at 1 30 pm for visiting districts and others. No admission charged.
Caribou County Assessor Bud Woodall urges seniors age 65 or older as of January 1 to file for property tax exemption by May 15. Qualifying seniors with home value under 15000, income under 4800, Idaho residency, and ten years of Idaho property tax payment may receive up to 75 off their residence or trailer. Contact the county assessor for forms and details.
