Punishment Goes Beyond Penalties Prescribed by Law
Warden Lou Cla says punishment extends beyond fines and jail terms. He told Idaho Peace Officers that crime prevention matters more than detection, noting long lasting after effects like stigma and job loss for ex convicts and the enduring memory of serious offenses such as fatal crashes.
