Caretakers at Hooper Spring Preserve Picnic Area
This summer two local college students Thayne Gentry and John Bingham reside at Hooper Spring in the old log cabin to protect Lions Club picnic facilities from vandalism and maintain the grounds. The city council reconditioned the cabin and wired it for electricity with law enforcement communication installed to provide a safe picnic area. Public input is welcome and vandalism should be reported to police.

Funeral services held for Mrs Virgil Knudsen in Idaho
Funeral services were conducted Monday for Mrs. Virgil Leah Knudsen of Preston Idaho. She was the mother of Mrs. Virgene Gambles of Soda Springs and died Thursday morning after an extended illness.
