Jennie Hatch of Browning Montana attended BYU Provo and, en route home, stayed with grandparents Mr and Mrs Ammon Hatch in Lava Hot Springs. The visit included Mr and Mrs Forrest Ferguson and their son Joe with wife Beverly and granddaughter Suelley Jean. A family home evening with ice cream and a short program was held at Mr and Mrs Chris Call.
A Logan temple wedding for Del Maughan was followed by a wedding breakfast hosted by Mr and Mrs I Raymond Maughan and others at the Blue Bird Cafe. Guests included Del Maughan's parents and extended families from Grace Pocatello Idaho Falls and Logan. Also covered are dance festival rehearsals chaperoned by Hogan and Hatch, church visits, a baby girl born to Wayne and Pamela Perkins, a large McLain family reunion in Pebble Basin, a two-vehicle accident near Soda Springs with minor injuries, and an Idaho district court schedule for 1961 with July and October terms.
On Sunday May 21 1961 a two car collision on State Highway 34 near Grace involved Stanley C Christensen driving a 1959 Chevrolet and Helen P Olsen in a 1958 Chevrolet. Christensen attempted a left turn to avoid the crash and suffered $300 damage to the right rear fender bumper. Olsen's car sustained about $100 damage. Deputy Herbert Walters investigated. On Wednesday May 24 1961 Norma Lee Munro in a 1957 Ford and Monte Rowberry in a 1958 Chevrolet station wagon collided on Bailey Creek Road when Munro’s vehicle drifted right and Rowberry’s car crossed left into the wrong lane. Munro received severe injuries and was taken to Caribou County Hospital.
