Water Needs and Rural Development in Idaho
The Agricultural Report forecasts fewer but larger farms, greater processing sophistication, and environmental cleanup duties for agriculture. It notes future crops may differ, water resources are distant from land, and irrigation could rely on new storage, aquifer management, and inter basin diversions. The report is not a development plan and planners must balance water with fish, wildlife, flood control, municipal, industrial, power, preservation, water quality and recreation.
