A January 31 to February 1, 1968 survey by Jack Peterson of the Soil Conservation Service Roy Daniels and Keith Bartholomew of the Forest Service found snow depth in the Soda Springs area normal to slightly above and the snow pack water content about doubled since January 2 reaching average to above average. The soil beneath the snow pack is unfrozen and damp with high absorptive capacity for melt. Snow depth varies across the three measured points due to recent snowfall.

Two Arraigned On Bancroft Burglary Charge
Fay R. Hatch 24 of Bancroft and John Nelson 18 of Grace were arraigned in District Court on first degree burglary charges linked to three Bancroft break ins owned by Wayne Perkins. Frank Christensen 75 Grace Dies of Stroke
Frank Melvin Christensen 75 of Grace died Monday evening at home after a stroke. He was born August 9, 1892 in Grace to Frank and Sarah E. Robinson Christensen and married Burgetta Olsen Feb 29, 1928 in the Logan LDS Temple. A farmer and World War I veteran, he belonged to the American Legion and Caribou County Farm Bureau and served on the Genealogical Committee of the LDS Church. Survivors include his widow, two sons, two daughters, 19 grandchildren, four brothers and eight sisters. Funeral Friday at 1 p.m. at the Williams Ward LDS Chapel. Burial in Grace Cemetery.
