Merchants and Soda Springs Chamber of Commerce begin ticket distribution via participating stores. Gift Certificates awarded Saturdays and Christmas. a grand drawing for a Color Television on Saturday December 21 at City Hall. Tickets earned per purchase, with limits and eligibility rules. drawing results not required to be present.
Kiwanis Club sponsors a turkey shoot Sunday at the Picnle grounds on Golf Course. It starts 11:00 a.m. and runs while shooters remain. Five shots per person per bird with groups of ten. Entry fee $1.50. Proceeds fund city improvements and coffee and doughnuts will be available.
Soda Springs will host Aréo in their first home game of the season at the high school gym. Tipoff is set for 6 30 tonight with a binary schedule noted.
North Gem defeated American Falls 38 to 15 in the opening wrestling match of the season. The Cowboys dominated an inexperienced Beaver squad with a series of pins and decisions.

Grant Clegg, an experienced flyer, landed a plane in a field near Grace while his father Don worked the farm. The craft rolled, nosed over, but both men survived as Grant switched off the ignition before any fire. A farm hand helped right the aircraft and the bent prop was straightened.
Cliff Sizemore of Lava Hot Springs announces the appointment of Arthur C. Kelly of Soda Springs as State Civic Affairs chairman for the Idaho Moose Association. Kelly will direct civic affairs for all Moose Lodges in Southeastern Idaho and is a Soda Springs businessman and city council member.
Secretary of the Utah Water and Power Board advocates rapid action to appropriate Idaho waters for Utah, asserting urgency and authority in advancing the plan.
Elder Antoine R Ivins of the First Council of Seventy will preside at the Idaho Stake quarterly conference in Soda Springs on December 7 and 8. Accompanying him are Percy K Fetzer and Samuel A Hendricks. General sessions Sunday are at 10 am and 1 30 pm led by Stake President Wilford J Dredge. Visitors welcome.
A partial note indicates a 7:00 p.m. hop after events as the Cowboys from North are set to play Bates in a regional contest.
Idaho State University College of Business Administration hosts a one night seminar on Business Law in Soda Springs. The event, held with the Fifth District Bar Association, aims to answer property owners questions about business law. It starts at 7:30 p.m and has no registration fee.
