Pre-Measurement Service Offers Acreage Check in Caribou County

Caribou County ASC offers pre measurement of fields for fall seeded crops to prevent overplanting. Farmers must apply at the ASC office, designate the area, and pay a $10 fee. Deadline is October 1 1983 for 1964 crop acreages.

Barbecue and Auction Planned in Soda Springs City Park

A barbecue lunch and auction are set for Saturday in City Park Soda Springs. Proceeds go to the L.D.8 Halling Run. Barbecue serves from 11:30 a.m. until finished, with the auction beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Christman and Hopkins Named County Grassmen by Cecil Alldaffer

Cecil Alldaffer selects Albert Christman and Loyal Hopkins as Caribou County Grassmen of the Year. The August 8 ceremony honored their seed producing farm east of Soda Springs near the Blackfoot reservoir. They grow six grass varieties and harvest seed while developing a boat access road for lake use.
