Claim Seeks Damages From City Over Horse Riding Accident
A Laguna Niguel couple filed a claim with the city of San Juan Capistrano seeking more than 25000 in damages after Janelle Robinson was bucked and injured when a grounds worker spooked her horse on a trail near the J F Shea Therapeutic Riding Center on November 15. The claim, filed May 16, alleges the worker failed to respond and acted negligently, leading to broken pelvis hip and arm and internal injuries. If denied, they may pursue court action. The city’s insurer recommended denial. The worker’s identity is not disclosed.
