He touts low travel costs, favorable rainfall, deep soils, and high altitude that cools nights. Crops include alfalfa, wheat, oats, milo maize, and fruit, with notable yields and a cabbage crop selling for large sums.
Hereford announces a new depot between the main track and Cartsinger’s store facing Dewey avenue. The plan shows a 74 by 120 foot two story brick building with ground floor offices waiting and baggage rooms and second floor living quarters on a concrete foundation.
