Prairie fire destroys 2500 bushels of grain

Last Thursday night J. D. Rees suffered a large loss as a prairie fire burned about 2500 bushels of wheat and oats stored in a granary. He saved roughly 2000 bushels despite intense heat and smoke. the fire came in from the surrounding area.
