Fire at Betts residence leaves family burned and homeless
About five o clock last Sunday morning Robt Betts and family suffered heavy losses when a fire started while the hired man was away at the stables. The building filled with smoke forcing an escape through upstairs windows. Betts sustained burns while trying to save belongings and Mrs Betts and children fled barefoot to the stables for clothing.
