A fire partly destroyed Toronto Union Station on Monday after an early morning blaze. Fire crews battled flames amid smoke and emergency responders evacuated portions of the building as investigators began assessing the damage.
At the Waddell Memorial Hospital Canora Mrs Munson died after illness aged unspecified. At the Winnipeg General Hospital on December after illness aged 24 years LINDBLOM is listed.
The editor of The Exponent George Austin Blakely married Canora’s Vinnie Lee on January 12 1916 at the Lee home Canora Manitoba Rev Percy Smith officiated with close family. Bride wore cream Duchess satin veil pearls and pink carnations. They depart for Grandview to start life together with best wishes from Canora friends.
About five o clock last Sunday morning Robt Betts and family suffered heavy losses when a fire started while the hired man was away at the stables. The building filled with smoke forcing an escape through upstairs windows. Betts sustained burns while trying to save belongings and Mrs Betts and children fled barefoot to the stables for clothing.

Pte W Gillard had a short holiday visiting his sister a teacher at Waller. Mr and Mrs Geo Bedborough and son plan a three months trip to Picton Ontario to visit his father.
The Canora Citizens' Band hosted a Friday banquet at the Imperial Hotel for member Miss Winnie Lee. Bandmaster Ringer chaired the event with toasts, singing of Our National Anthem, and Miss Lee receiving a handsome carving set as a gift.
Miss Brigden spoke with force and mastery despite a cold, delivering several readings to show she is a high order elocutionist. Two solos by Mrs. Hickling enhanced the program as the series of meetings nears its close on Friday night.
A silver tea fundraiser will be given by Mrs. McArthur Gleason and Mrs Jrs tomorrow Friday at 10 p.m. at the McArthur place. Everyone is invited with a special invitation extended to gentlemen.
