Town Council Adopts Water Supply Financing Plan

In the August 6 1915 meeting at the Town Office Mayor Ke vin presiding, the council heard Rev Dr Grant on the hospital water need and approved Presbyterian Church funds for a four inch water main to the Waddell Memorial Hospital. The plan includes up to 6000 for initial works, issuing bonds for 6000, repaid 1000 yearly for three years, with a fourth year balance plus interest, and council to obtain local Government Board approval before a burgess vote. The Board will cover three years of interest. Meeting adjourned.

Canora Wins Third Money at Yorkton Tournament

Canora Pasball team travels to Yorkton to compete with Yorkton Fox Warren and CPR. Yorkton defeats Canora 11 to 0 in the opener while CPR beats Fox Warren and falls to Yorkton. Canora then beats Fox Warren 11 to 2 in four innings. Canora places second in Roblin after a darkness called game in the final. A fuller report will appear next issue.
