A large and joyful gathering of guests from Canova lodge A F M attended the Grand Assembly at the hotel on Friday night. The event started about 8 30 pm with dancing to Prof Denmark's Kamstock orchestra lasting until 2 30 am. Card tables and buffet refreshments kept guests engaged despite bad weather.

Pelly football club restructures for the season with L F Campbell as secretary treasurer. They plan to rejoin the McKensie league and urge an immediate meeting to arrange the season. Canova may lack a baseball team this year and fan turnout has been poor. A league may form with Yorkton Melville and Canora teams. A passenger service from Leateven Winnipeg to Prince Rupert is proposed by the G T P for September.
