Reception For President Baker In Carion April 25
Mrs. Baker of Boulder, president of the State Federation of Womens clubs, was welcomed in Carion with a reception at the A. O. U. W. hall by Friends in Council and local clubs. She spoke on traveling libraries, education, and mothers’ cooperation, with plans for a federation meeting in Carion next fall. Straw berry ice and cake followed.

The post office has new stamp books for sale in three sizes 12 two cent stamps for 25 cents 24 stamps for 49 cents and 48 stamps for 98 cents. The stamps are separated by non stickable paper and covers include rates and instructions. Also notices about local business and a school election information snippet are included.

The store has received a full Yale Coffees line roasted by a new gas process claiming 25 percent more aroma.
