Canon City council weighs Frank D. Heath request to surrender the Canon City and Royal Gorge interurban street railway franchise. During a Virginia trip Sheriff Fraser met T. F. Ellis in Washington D C a former newspaper man and brother of J H Ellis of Canon City Colorado They chatted at a well lit store near the treasury and shared a Mason connection leading to an 11 o clock luncheon Ellis invited Esser to visit his business the next day but Esser left for Virginia before the invitation could be honored

The Rev Harry Noble Wilson reports from Central Presbyterian Church in St Paul Minnesota that his new field suits him well. He says the church has a fine building a strong evening congregation and a strong group of young people. He compliments The Record editor and asks warm regards be sent to Mrs Hardy.
Friends of Rev Edgar Sherrod rector of Christ Episcopal Church learn he was taken to a Los Angeles hospital with typhoid fever during a three week vacation trip. Mrs Sherrod and two children accompanied him earlier. Messages indicate his condition worsened to the hospital admission.
The Canon City board selects Miss Kahn of Pacific Missouri to fill the high school German and Latin chair after Miss Stevens resigns She is MU graduate and has two years study abroad highly recommended by educators and the community.
A postal from Dr. Geo. B. Crissman and companions reports high water at Tin Cup Lakes but notes fishing remains good during their one month camping and fishing outing begun on the 4th. The Crissmans and the Stocktons are traveling together.
Louie Thompson arrives in Canon City on a Sunday visit with his brother Herbert C. Thompson and relatives en route from San Francisco to Minneapolis. He has been active in theater and holds a key role in Daniel Frauley’s stock company in Frisco, earning a strong reputation as an emerging thespian.
The Iowa News Association at Fort Collins with about nine hundred members purchased tickets for Iowa Day at the Chautauqua grounds where Governor Cummins will speak. Officials hope roughly two thousand former Iowans in Larimer County attend to boost the event and the local Chautauqua.
A surprise party at J. J. Phelps's home on his eightieth birthday drew about one hundred guests. Rev. B. E.
