The last race of the Gentlemen's Driving association ran last Friday amid dusty track conditions. Kane ahead in heat one, Lasher captures heats two and three to win the overall race by a nose. Best half mile time 1:19. Morris Wilkes wins the 5 minute class, Jim Blaine the 2:40 race, Aussie Clay races against time. Fred Curtis wins the relay with Mexican Cave. first prize $50, second $25.

Tragic Suicide At W. O. Peck Home
Angus M. Ward of Chicago shot himself with a 38 caliber revolver at about 7 30 this morning at 524 Fifth street the bullet lodged in his brain and caused instant death He was a 28 year old married man with no children and was visiting Wade O Peck his brother in law Ward had been in Chicago for nervousprostration treatment and recently seemed to improve his family and wife Stella Van Booskirk were present and sorrowfully awaiting burial decisions

Masons Confer Third Degree at City Lodge Banquet
The Masons held a large gathering last Saturday night. The third degree was conferred on a candidate and a sumptuous banquet followed. Present were Grand Master George D. Golden Wedding of Mr and Mrs J T Sampson
Last Monday evening Mr and Mrs J T Sampson celebrated fifty years of marriage at 28 North Fifteenth street with about fifty guests. A poem was read, an address given, and four of their five living children attended. They received gifts including twelve gold presents from the children. The couple were married in Susquehanah Pennsylvania and moved to the Silver State about fifty years ago.
