C C Conkle, Denver and Rio Grande general right of way agent, secured options on all property north of the railroad tracks to the alley in the block between Ninth and Tenth streets. The site will likely host the freight depot as work begins on a new passenger station. The current freight building and passenger depot may move to the block east of their present locations.

Man From Currant Creek Undergoes Appendectomy
W. H. Gribble Jr of Currant Creek was operated on at Dr Graves hospital Monday afternoon for appendicitis. He had been ill since returning from Denver with cattle and arrived at his ranch this morning. His condition was serious and surgery was performed for relief with Mrs Gribble traveling from the ranch to assist. The operation was reported very successful.

A W O W excursion train from Canon to Pueblo carried about 180 people for the District Rally event. The Colorado rally drew five grand officers and several organizers with visitors from southern and eastern Colorado.
