Mercy killing confession ties Moretti murder to Cosa Nostra

Informer Joseph Valachi testified before the Senate subcommittee that Cosa Nostra rulers ordered Willie Moretti’s murder as a mercy killing for mental illness and a rumored syphilitic condition. New Jersey Assistant Attorney General John J. Bergin corroborated the claim. Moretti’s funeral was attended by syndicate leaders who ordered the hit.

China offers Algeria long term loan in old francs

Algerian Foreign Ministry stated Communist China has proposed a 25 000 million old franc loan to Algeria. The offer was conveyed by Chinese Ambassador Tseng Tao during talks with Algerian Foreign Minister Abdelaziz Bouteflika.
