Fadden urges higher gold price to boost liquidity

Speed Up Equal Pay Bill Before Cabinet

Sydney reports equal pay legislation will be speeded up and brought before Cabinet next Tuesday. Premier Cahill hopes to introduce the bill early in December after Parliament resumes post election. The measure would grant about 20 000 women extra pay before Christmas.

Appeals Court Extends Little Rock School Ban

A three judge Federal Appeals Court extended its order banning four Little Rock high schools as private segregated institutions with a hearing set for October 15.
