Soldier charged with murder at Gowrie Hotel case
An 18 year old soldier, James Ernest Taylor of Royal Military College Duntroon, appeared in Canberra Petty Sessions charged with murdering 11 year old Greta Penticoss in Melbourne. He also faces an enticement by fraud charge involving a 10 year old girl. He was remanded to October 20 without bail. The case alleges a party of 43 children booked into Gowrie Private Hotel Braddon, where the girl was abducted, assaulted, and killed before the defendant allegedly mutilated the body.
