Dream Realised: Gardner Family Arrives in Queanbeyan
A Lancaster family Mr and Mrs Robert Gardner and their two sons Robert and Jonathan arrived yesterday in Queanbeyan marking a three year migration dream. They were met at the Queanbeyan railway station by Queanbeyan Apex Club members led by President Kevin Phelps and Secretary Lee Harradine. Mr Tan Aca has secured a welder job for Mr Gardner in Canberra with stable housing arranged. The club wives have stocked the new larder and will guide Mrs Gardner on shopping. Rosalind, the Gardners’ third child, will join them next year after finishing school.
