Young's 50th Year Celebrates with Community Chest
In June 1914 James Buchanan Young bought H Solomon’s store in Queanbeyan NSW and started the J B Young retail chain now entering its fiftieth year. The company launches a fifty week Community Chest for Canberra and Queanbeyan groups focusing on youth and seniors with fifty organisations selected by merit to receive payments drawn weekly. Applications available at local Young offices. This final announcement invites eligible groups to participate as the jubilee year progresses. Fifty happy returns to you.
