Pioneer Seamen of Navy Found in Jubilee Search
The Royal Australian Navy identified more than 170 pioneers who served at the RN when it formed. Senator Gorton announced the search aims to recognize veterans from states across Australia, with one in the United States. The effort traced pioneer sailors from NSW, Victoria, Queensland, South Australia, Western Australia, Tasmania, and overseas, to honor their 1911 establishment.
