Accused Of Stealing Ashes From Dump
A man named Kinnane and an associate faced questioning after ashes were allegedly removed from the Black Mountain dump. Inspector Hayes testified the ashes on a red truck were seen near the site, with drag marks and tyre prints indicating unauthorised dumping. Hayes noted the area is 70 acres with a special ash disposal section and that no authority existed to remove the ashes. He warned further unauthorized dumping occurred when staff were absent.
