Britain proposed a package deal on tariffs to the Six for Commonwealth exports including aluminium newsprint lead and zinc. The move aims to clear a major sticking point in 14 months of talks as Britain seeks entry to the Common Market.
Britain's Heath leads nego t iations with the Six as they study proposals for a package deal. Ministers plan further sessions this afternoon and tomorrow and Friday to resolve agricultural issues tied to Britain's bid for entry to the European market amid de Gaulle's rebuff.
The Attorney General Sir Garfield Burwick announced the proclamation date for the new Marriage Act. Provisions require seven days notice to the Minister or Celebrant for marriages after July, parental consent for under 18, and state controlled exceptions by magistrates in rare cases. Three certificates will be issued per marriage for the couple, state records, and church register.
